Google surprised many marketers when they announced they are sunsetting the Universal Analytics platform (UA) on July 1, 2023 and only supporting GA4 going forward. The sooner you can get GA4 up and running, the more historical data you’ll have when UA sunsets.
Migrating to GA4 can be a straightforward process, especially if your company is already using Google Tag Manager. Even if you’re not using a tag management solution like GTM, we can make sure you’re collecting all the data you need in GA4.
This transition is also a good time to take a step back and audit your existing Analytics tracking. We will consider your entire analytics landscape to make sure your new GA4 setup is as good, or better, than your existing UA data collection.
Our GA4 Migration Process
-
1
Audit UA & GTM
We will audit existing GTM and UA properties to determine what data will be essential to continue tracking in GA4 and which tags, triggers, and variables in GTM will be necessary.
-
2
Migration Strategy
Once we have a clear picture of the existing Google Analytics and Tag Manager setup, and have noted conversion points on the website, we can begin mapping the ideal setup for GA4.
-
3
Deployment
We will set up the new GTM container(s) and GA4 properties. We will also test and debug all new tracking. All work can be reviewed by your team for sign-off before deployment.
